Cue Card Betting
Cue Card is a very interesting King George runner this season with the Tizzard horse set to tackle three miles for the very first time. The horse is a former winner of the Champion Bumper at the Cheltenham Festival and has been a top class chaser for some time now. Connections have had half an eye on the King George Chase this season for quite a while and it will be fascinating to see how he fares on Boxing Day.
Last season we saw Cue Card chase Sprinter Sacre home in the Arkle Chase at the Festival which highlights the class of horse we are dealing with here. All the experts are saying that Sprinter Sacre is one of the most exciting horses in many years which in turn suggests that cue Card is very special himself. His first run this season would back those claims up as he hacked up to win the Haldon Gold cup at Exeter with some calling it a career best run.
Jockey Joe Tizzard gave Cue Card a fine front running performance at Exteter as he galloped good horses like Menorah and Edgardo Sol into the ground to see his King George price slashed. That win came at 2m1f which does raise doubts about his stamina over three miles although the flat track at Kempton is the easiest three miles in the country.
